chila.ink is an online shop, turning handmade art into everyday products and selling them directly: oversized t-shirts, tote bags, sketchbooks/notebooks, and stickers. Rather than a generic template store, the site is built as a lean, product-centric shop with a personal, Spanish-language voice.
The product targets customers looking for handmade, limited-edition designs instead of mass-produced goods. At its core, the shop covers the entire purchase flow from product browsing to payment, plus direct, low-friction contact with the brand via social media instead of a classic contact form.
Key features
- Four product categories: Remeras, Tote Bags, Booklets, and Stickers, each with its own collection and short, evocative description
- Sorting and filtering: products can be sorted by collection or price
- Direct checkout: complete purchase flow, including payment, handled right in the shop
- Direct contact channels: WhatsApp and Instagram instead of a contact form, linked throughout the site
- Bilingual: toggle between Spanish and other language versions of the site
Tech stack
I built the entire site with TanStack Start → a React full-stack framework.
- Full-stack with TanStack Start: server-side rendering and routing for the product collections on a single codebase
- Server-side functions: shop and order logic run through TanStack Start's own server functions instead of a separate backend
- Stripe integration: complete checkout flow, from payment to order confirmation, connected directly to Stripe
